The Beauty Of Holidaying With Mayan Riviera Rentals

On Mexico's southeast coast, bordering the warm Caribbean Sea south of Cancun, stretching like a finger towards Cuba and Cozumel, is the sun-kissed Mayan Riviera. This is the Yucatan Peninsula, with white sands and swaying palms and a great choice of vacation rentals: from villas to condominiums, bungalows to all-inclusive resorts. Along Highway 307 are wonderful beaches, great Mayan Riviera rentals and restaurants.

Temperatures stay around 75 degrees all year round, and the water is equally warm. The tropical storms hit Cancun in the north or Belize in the south. This coastal strip is really blessed. The ideal time to come from December to April, when it's warm and dry, but the El Norte wind keeps it from becoming too hot.

From your vacation rental you'll often step straight out onto white sands. The huge choice of recreation is enormous, with scuba diving or snorkeling at the barrier reef, fishing, jet skiing, sailing, horse riding, golf and more. Inland, there's lush jungle to discover and many companies offer guided tours.

This makes an excellent base for exploring Yucatan's archaeological wonders. The area is world renowned for sites like Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum. Chichen Itza is the biggest draw. On the UNESCO World Heritage list, this city is pre-Colombian.

Nature reserves include swamps, mangroves and teeming wildlife. Then, take the boat to Cozumel with its unparalleled dive sites. Hitch a ride to the small island of Isla Mujeres, where you're almost guaranteed a swim with friendly dolphins.
